Barbara Pfeiffer	About My Business Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is Swedish/deep tissue massage, but is a more precise treatment that eliminates pain caused by muscle, tendon or ligament injury or distortions. NMT helps bring balance between the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. This balance is achieved by alleviating muscle spasms, blood vessel constriction, trigger points, and nerve entrapment or compression.
	A few of the health problems and issues that can be resolved are: tension related headaches, low back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injury, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis, prevention of shin splints, help correct hammer toe and bunions, hip joint pain. For low back/hip joint pain, I recommend a technique called Pelvic Stabilization. It is a series of 6 gentle routines performed when you are fully clothed that decompresses the pelvic joint. It will release back pain that may have plagued you for years and may help avoid hip replacement! Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or numbness in the hands can be relieved immediately by releasing one muscle located in your are pit area! Personal Biography	Barbara has been a massage therapist for over 12 years. Her 1,000 hours of training was done at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona where she received her degree. In addition, she has received more than 160 hours of training with the St. John Neuromuscular Therapy Institute, headquartered in Florida. Barbara has been licensed in Arizona, Utah and Oregon. She began her practice at the world renowned Loew's Ventana Canyon Resort and Spa in Tucson, AZ. She also worked at Canyon Ranch, a comprehensive health resort, also in Tucson. She has had private practices in Tucson, AZ, Cedar City, UT, and Sandy, OR. In 2005, Barbara relocated to Oregon and worked at the Athletic Club in the Hilton Portland Hotel and Executive Tower, and at Massage Envy in Clackamas, OR.
