Be sure to visit the Club Home Page right away. It's been revised to better promote the members of the Club. Here's what has changed:

1) Instead of just having the Club member photos and first name do a slide show, a slideshow now includes last name and business category in an area emphasized with accented background. This will allow visitors to watch and learn about the members on the Home Page. It's also good for members to watch just to keep remembering names, photos and what each person does.

2) A pulldown menu for finding a business category has been added. This way a visitor or even another member can quickly select it and press the 'Go' button to learn more. More of a one-step feature to getting to what they want right from the Home Page.

3) A link has been added to let people know (friends, relatives, and associates of a member) that they too can also send a Referral to a Club Member. We like to encourage outside Referrals.

4) A link has been added in addition to the 'Club Specials' button, to remind people to look at the Member's special offers.

(Please note that 'real' members don't appear in the slideshow until the Club has 4 or more members)
 

In-Progress Indicator: There is now a 'Smart' Send Email button. It reminds you to make sure you're absolutely ready to send this email out by asking the question. (since email potentially goes to all Club members, want to make sure you got it right first) And, second when you click it, a Spinning Ball will appear indicating it's in progress. Also, once it completes a page now comes up saying the emails have been sent. (this will eliminate so many people sending emails twice by wondering if it went out or not)

Addresses: The top three officers of the Club-- the President, Vice-President and Membership Director sees an additional area on this page showing the actual email addresses of those selected to receive the email. This is to allow for a copy and paste of email addresses into their own Mail Program if they so choose to send it out from there. The reason for this is to provide key officers with an ability to send out specially formatted html or other nice presentation emails to do so using their own software.

Here is view of where you Send Emails after inserting your message. Notice the new button to 'Select and attachment' and also, the large Send Email button.

Great Uses:

• A Convenient Reminder List to quickly access members for immediate referral. (medium print nice for near desk, small print nice for trimming it and putting in wallet or purse) A List you can give out to people in case they have some future needs for business professionals. (can just print out a few of the medium print lists and give to friends, relatives, and associates)
• Easy way to copy and paste the membership list and create your own Club flyer to hand out to anyone the members meet. (Club Officers can create flyer from template from main office of MRC. This list provides easy way to update the flyer and keep it current)

Where to find Member Directory Printouts:
Click on "Club Members" on any page, and just under "Viewing Options" choose medium or very small size PRINTABLE PAGE.

What to do RIGHT NOW:

• Go to your Club Member page and Print Out a medium and a very small size club directory. Put one in your wallet/purse and one on your desk. During the day when you're waiting for something or on hold, glance over the list and think of your fellow Club Members and familiarize yourself with their occupations so you can send them referrals.
• Consider printing out a few extra to give to relatives, friends and associates.

YouTube Video

On Your Web Page!

Video Capability - FREE and Easy - If you have a video to promote your business, you can now have it play right on your individual web page in the Club! THIS IS GREAT. You just upload the video to YouTube.com and email the link with a request to have it displayed to Cliff@myreferralclub.com To find out more about how to upload your video to YouTube, visit YouTube Support. Of course, the easy part is if you have a video. Creating the video could involve a professional videographer, a friend or yourself with a camera and some creative talent.Here are links to three Club members who have already placed their YouTube video on their web page. Though these videos are very polished, they don't have to be. Even if yours just had you telling about your services and maybe showing examples of your work-- it would be like you being there in person talking to them. If your Club doesn't have a videographer in it, that's a place to start-- invite one to a meeting. Look one up in the Yellow Pages in your area. Everything is moving more toward audio/visual. We made the "Join Our Club" page more steamlined. We want it to be easier for people to join and support growth. Take a look.

Unless you're the President, Vice-President or Membership Director, you won't see anything different on the Send Email and Add New Members pages. However, these three officers now have the capability to add into the data base Prospective Members, contact information and can easily Send Emails to remind of meetings, etc. They can also add notes regarding each prospective person to help keep track of conversations and when to do followups.

"When Butch Norosebud died, he awoke to find Satan ushering him into a large room. He was amazed that there were no fires or uncomfortable conditions. In fact, at the center of the room was a long dining room table filled with delicious-looking food -- piled high, hot and ready to eat. Twenty-five people sat on one side, 24 on the other, with one seat obviously awaiting Butch. He was seated, told not to eat until he heard the bell, and that he could only eat with the single spoon beside his plate. It was a very long wooden spoon that could be picked up only at the very end of the handle. As Butch anxiously awaited the sound of the bell, he noticed that the others sitting at the table were skinny, depressed and unhealthy looking. The bell rang and they all grabbed their spoons, scooped up some food and made futile attempts to feed themselves. The spoons were so long the tips could not reach their mouths. After a time, another bell rang and everyone left.

"Miraculously, it was discovered that a mistake had been made and that Butch was to be transferred to the "other" place. He was, and when he got there, St. Peter ushered him into a large room not unlike the one he had just left. There was the delicious-looking food, large spoons and a place at the end of the table awaiting him. This time, as he waited for the bell, he noticed that the people were well-fed and healthy looking. The bell rang. Everyone grabbed a spoon, scooped up some food and began feeding the people across from them!"

1) LEARN: Learn about the services of your other members by attending meetings and getting to know one another. Take a few minutes each week to read their web pages in the Club. That way, they'll be fresh in your mind when you meet people and can easily recommend one of your fellow Club members. You can check the Club Referral Statistics to see who has been giving referrals more than receiving and perhaps focus on the people really participating in the Club.

2) INTERACT: Be curious and a good listener to people you come in contact with and ask questions about what they're trying to do in their life. Chances are one of the things they're doing could involve one of our Club members. This will also have amazing results with just making more friends and being more interesting to others.

3) CONNECT: If a person might have a need you think can be fulfilled by one of our Club members, ask if you can refer the person and be contacted. If the answer is yes, immediately call the Club member and verbally give the referral. Then follow it up by going to the Club web site and Send the Referral so that it will log you in to the Club Statistics.

Here's what will happen. You'll start making more friends, you'll be focused more on giving and assisting others and it's bound to come back at you. Your referral statistics will start exhibiting your generosity and will attract others in 'feeding' you. Your business will increase and you will be more abundant in all areas. And, you'll be surrounding yourself with healthy happy and giving people like yourself.
